LAINE STULTZ

ABOUT LAINE STULTZ
Laine Stultz is a textile artist working in the realm of fashion. His love of fashion began in high school, when he worked in a professional theatre costume shop and spent countless hours surrounded by a large collection of vintage clothing and sewing on ancient sewing machines. Laine graduated with honors from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a major in Fibers and a Minor in Fashion. He works mainly with upcycled and unexpected materials to discover new textures by using hands-on practices such as knitting, crochet, weaving, screen printing, and sewing. In addition to ready-to-wear pieces, Laine creates custom costumes for nightlife performers, including drag and burlesque artists. His art is influenced by punk culture and his experiences as a queer man.
